Our Story

Relief today, dignity tomorrow

Puron began with a simple observation: emergency aid saves a life, but only sustained support changes one. So our work is deliberately split between immediate relief — food, medicine, shelter after a flood — and the slower work of education, skills and livelihood that stops the next crisis from being as severe.

We operate through a network of verified field volunteers in every division. Before a single taka is distributed, the household is visited and assessed. After distribution, the record is logged, photographed and published in our reports.

We accept Zakat, Sadaqah, general donations and CSR partnerships. Zakat funds are held in a separate account and disbursed only to eligible recipients under the guidance of our Shariah advisory panel.

Mission

To relieve suffering and restore dignity for the most vulnerable people in Bangladesh, through direct, verified and accountable humanitarian work across every sector of need.

Vision

A Bangladesh where no child is out of school for want of fees, no family goes hungry after a disaster, and no illness becomes a catastrophe because of poverty.

Values

Verification before distribution. Transparency in every account. Dignity for every recipient. Neutrality in politics. Compliance with the law and with Shariah where it applies.

Leadership

The people behind Puron

A board of trustees sets direction and safeguards the funds; a management team runs day-to-day operations; a Shariah panel advises on Zakat.

How we reach remote households

Volunteer coordinators

Each division has a volunteer coordinator responsible for beneficiary identification, verification visits and distribution logistics.

Local partnerships

We work with union councils, schools, mosques and clinics already trusted in the community rather than building parallel structures.

Rapid response

Pre-positioned relief stock and a standing volunteer roster allow us to move within 48 hours of a flood or cyclone warning.
